MWD Service Technician/Motor Shop Technician Employer: Halliburton/Sperry-Sun Salary: Commensurate With Experience Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Sperry-Sun (the directional drilling division of Halliburton Energy Services) has openings in it's MWD and Mud Motor service facility in Oklahoma City. Qualified applicants must possess a strong sence of pride and personal ownership with regard to the work they perform.They must work well with others and be willing to work over-time on an as-needed basis. They must be available for 24 hour call and work weekends as needed. qualified applicants must also exhibit excellent safety habits and follow all company prescribed guidelines with regard to safety and service quality performance. Halliburton Energy Services maintains a drug free work-place. Pre-employment and random drug screens are standard operating procedure. A clean driving record is also required. All positions are Temp to Perm. Permanent positions will be awarded to people who display a strong work ethic are reliable and deilver the quality of work that our current employees hold as a standard. Available positions: 1. PDM (Positive Displacement Motor) Technician: This position entails the assembly and dis-assembly of down-hole mud motors. Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read micrometers and calipers is a must. Attention to accuracy and detail is a must. PDM technicians spend long hours "on their feet". Fork-lift and crane operation is part of the job. This is a good opportunity for someone willing to earn a secure position with a large dynamic company. 2. MWD Service Technician: This positions involves the complete maintenance and repair of MWD (Measurement While Drilling) systems and the down-hole tools that go with them. Qualified applicants must be detail oriented, possess strong mechanical and electrical skills/aptitude and be able to work well un-supervised. An ability to accurately use dial calipers, micrometers, and electrical multimeters is a must. Pay for these positions will be determined by an individual's experience level and skill sets.
